Help with WatchYourPhone
WatchYourPhone helps you notice when your iPhone and Apple Watch or supported Garmin wearable move apart. Here you can set up a wearable, restore Premium, and control incident-location data.
Frequently asked questions
What does WatchYourPhone do?
It is an assistance tool for phone-and-wearable protection. It can help you notice separation between your iPhone and selected wearable, use trusted-place behavior, and provide optional incident features. It cannot guarantee theft detection, alerts, location, or recovery.
Why is protection unavailable or paused?
Check that Bluetooth is on, the iPhone and wearable have battery, required permissions are allowed, and the selected wearable is connected. Background behavior and alerts also depend on Apple, Garmin, network, and operating-system services.
Does WatchYourPhone track me all the time?
No. Trusted Place coordinates and Wi‑Fi network names are kept on your devices. Precise location is uploaded only if you turn on Theft Location Protection and an incident becomes active. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
Connect Apple Watch
- Confirm that your Apple Watch is paired with the same iPhone in Apple’s Watch app.
- Install or update WatchYourPhone on the iPhone, then allow its companion Watch app to install if prompted.
- Open WatchYourPhone on the iPhone and choose Apple Watch as your wearable.
- Open the WatchYourPhone app on the watch and keep both devices nearby while they connect.
- Allow Bluetooth and notification permissions when requested, then test protection in a safe place.
Connect a supported Garmin wearable
- Pair your Garmin wearable with your iPhone through Garmin Connect and make sure it is syncing normally.
- Install the WatchYourPhone companion from Garmin Connect IQ when it is available for your device.
- In WatchYourPhone on the iPhone, choose Garmin and follow the in-app pairing instructions.
- Keep Garmin Connect, Bluetooth, and internet access available while registration completes.
- Open the companion on the wearable and test it in a safe place after setup.
If your model is not offered during setup, it is not currently supported. Email us with your Garmin model and software version.
Restore your Premium subscription
- Make sure the iPhone is signed in to the Apple Account that purchased WatchYourPhone Premium.
- Connect the iPhone to the internet.
- Open WatchYourPhone and select Restore Purchases from the Premium or subscription screen.
- Wait for Apple to confirm the active entitlement, then reopen the Premium screen if necessary.
Deleting and reinstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. To manage or cancel, use Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → WatchYourPhone on an Apple device. If restoration does not complete, contact support with a screenshot of the message—do not send your Apple Account password or full payment information.
Stop sharing or delete incident location data
To stop new incident-location sharing, turn off Theft Location Protection in WatchYourPhone. To remove location that belongs to an active incident right away:
- Open WatchYourPhone on the owner’s iPhone.
- Open the active incident controls.
- Select Stop sharing and delete active incident and confirm the request.
This stops tracking and requests immediate server deletion of the active incident. You can also choose Delete cloud data from this iPhone to delete the installation’s server identity, incidents, invitations, linked-device relationships, and registered Apple Watch and Garmin records. The action requires a network connection and successful authentication.
Incident records and uploaded location expire after 24 hours; automated cleanup runs hourly, so database removal may occur shortly after expiry. For a privacy request or if the in-app deletion action fails, email privacy@fenaura.ee.
